Bay of Fires 13km + Atlas

Enjoy the luxury of our private groups shuttle service and experience the epic 13km descent that starts off the Bay of Fires trail, and the classic Atlas trail that finishes in the heart of the Blue Derby network.

The experience starts off with a private shuttle (approx 1hr) in our Mercedes Viano to the Blue Tier  trailhead, nestled deep in the lush rainforest of north east Tasmania. On a clear day, you will see the pristine waters of the Bay of Fires as you set off on your adventure. Enjoy the roller-coaster descent as you make your way through alpine heath, past giant granite boulders, and through the blackwood and myrtle forests this region is famous for.

You will ride the first 13km of the BOF trail, which is predominantly descending, down to our 'post 13' meet point. This is our pick-up point, and from here you will jump in the car and we will depart for the Atlas trailhead. You have the option to stop for lunch at the Pub in the Paddock or at the iconic Weldborough Hotel on the way through.

After lunch we'll head off for the Atlas trailhead, and you will ride one of the original Blue Derby trails back to Derby. You will have a few of options to finish this trail, including Dambusters, Krushka's and Trouty, but we'll explain these on the day. Depending your finish choice, expect to ride approx. 16-22km on Atlas, finishing in the heart of Derby.

This service is designed to finish in Derby. If you require a transfer back to St Helens from Derby, please book the additional return transfer available when making your booking.

For groups of up to 22 people, our dedicated private shuttle service ensures an efficient and fast turnaround. No more waiting around for others to join the group, we operate on your schedule.

The Bay of Fires and Atlas trails are genuinely remote wilderness trails; mobile reception is very limited and you must be self-sufficient. Emergency access is very limited and you must be prepared to walk your bike out if mechanical failure occurs.
